Photos of Modesitt painting in France

From April to July, John has visited the central region of France. He has adopted the plein-air style of painting on location. Originally, his ancestors came from France (Huguenots). John and his wife stayed in the smaller villages and he paints in the gardens, along the rivers and canals, and in his own back yard where he stayed. His paintings have the look and feel of the original 19th century French Impressionists. Each painting was done on location in different types of weather.
